SKU WM-BRUIN-STG Categories ,

From: $6,495.00

The Bruin Two to Three Person Raft is truly the most versatile, maneuverable and safest raft on the market. Qualities that separate the Bruin from other rafts of it’s kind include:

Unbelievable stability due to it’s dimensions and design The Bruin provides a 1500lb weight capacity and plenty of room for one rower and two anglers As opposed to the “rocker” design the bullet shaped bow and stern along with very large tubes allow the raft to float very high on the water making it the perfect skinny water boat

More

The “bullet” design keeps the point of the bow and stern out of the water while allowing the center of the tube to maintain contact, taking advantage of the buoyancy, and improving maneuverability and stability More contact on the bow and stern allows the Bruin to track more effectively in moving water High volume self-bailing floor allows the water to go out as quickly as it comes in for increased safety  Our NEW Floor suspension system keeps the floor fixed in the highest position to reduce drag and keep you dry all day.  No standing in water.

The drop stitch floor is flat and rock hard making it very easy to stand on and move around Can be set up in a variety of ways depending on what you need it for, from family of four leisure raft to serious fishing vessel for one rower and two anglers Can be used with an electric or gas motor with the addition of the motor mount All seams are thermal welded using our UV resistant, 1100 denier PVC, a signature of Water Master rafts for over 25 years Our rafts last a very long time

Over 25 years of experience servicing our rafts and providing the best customer service in the industry Lifetime warranty on the raft Call with any questions you have.  We would love to talk to you about the Bruin!  406-777-5970   800-239-RAFT

NRS Oar Tethers

More Info

Don't lose your oar. The NRS Oar Tether keeps that oar anchored to the boat if it pops off the oarlock or pin. The tough cam buckle lets you easily adjust the length and remove the oar when needed.

  • An unexpected loss of an oar can ruin your whole day. The Oar Tether gives you a fighting chance to get that oar back in place in time to avert disaster.
  • There's a stainless steel ring on one end and a webbing loop on the other end of the Tether.
  • Loop either the ring end or webbing end around the frame or oar mount.
  • Detach the blade from your oar and slide the oar shaft through the ring or loop on the other end of the Tether.
  • The NRS Cam Buckle joins the two halves of the Oar Tether and lets you adjust the length of the Tether and easily remove the oar.
  • The Tethers come as a pair, so you've got both oars protected

AirCap Solar Pressure Gauge

I've been using Water Master rafts for years, and they always go above and beyond. Their packable, inflatable rafts, like the Grizzly, are super durable, stable, and portable. Whether I'm navigating swift rivers or calm lakes, they're perfect for any water body. We even upgraded to the Bruin for our family floats recently! The design is so intuitive, and setting up is a breeze, so I get more fishing time. Water Master's quality and customer service shine through in every detail, making their rafts a go-to for all my adventures. Whether it's a solo trip or guiding friends and family, Water Master rafts are reliable and perform incredibly well. I highly recommend them to any serious angler.

FAQ

Why don't you have rockers in your raft like some of your competition?

There are a number of reasons that we do not use a rockered design. We do not use a rocker because we want you to have the most ease and control possible when rowing and finning.

1) A rocker removes the available buoyancy by bringing the tubes on the ends of the raft up and out of the water. This results in more water displacement and a much deeper draft. For example on a nine foot raft with a rocker you will get around five feet of contact on either side while on a nine foot Water Master Kodiak you get almost twenty feet of contact total.

2) The rocker also reduces the amount of control you have because of its lack of contact with the water.  Our design allows the raft to make contact with the water in the center of the raft instead of two contact points on either side.  This means Water Masters track extremely well in current.  Rocker-style rafts are known for spinning like a top and getting pushed around in wind and currents.

3) A Water Master rows level or flat on the water making for a more efficient stroke and better tracking.  A rocker reduces the efficiency of rowing by rocking back and forth as you row.

4) You can load down a Water Master on either end of the raft without the front or back changing position on the water.  This is due to the massive buoyancy on both ends. Rockered rafts can rock back and forth on the water with too much weight on either end making them hard to control.

What is the advantage of the Water Masters construction over an inflatable with internal bladders?

Inflatables built with bladders inside a thin PVC shell are not nearly as durable and require a lot more maintenance over time. Most are constructed with a much lighter weight PVC, Urethane, or Cordura shell that is much more susceptible to puncture, abrasion, and wear. Once the outside wall is compromised all that is left is an unsupported urethane bladder that has absolutely no puncture resistance and tears easily. If damaged you must remove the bladder to repair it making it very difficult to do in the field. A Water Master can be patched in minutes and you don’t have to take anything apart. Also these style boats use a lot of zippers that tend to fail over time. These are usually cheaper but you get what you pay for.
